A Whole New World

This past week, in thirteen separate graduation ceremonies, I congratulated more than 4,200 high school seniors for making it to their commencement ceremonies and graduating from high school. These are the students who crossed the finish line, and as I said to them last weekend, graduating from high school and being prepared to compete in the global economy is more important than ever.

As a group, these seniors were awarded more than $72 million in college scholarships, and many plan to attend some of the top colleges and universities in the state and the nation. I was so proud of our AISD graduates as they walked across the stage and received their diplomas. Congratulations to the AISD graduates of 2012 as they enter A Whole New World!
